twentyfournights&twentythreedays until I (tentatively) depart for the Philippines.
Just about three weeks. Three weeks!!!

I know the time will pass in a blink. I have a field trip to see Hedda Gabler in the city, another field trip to see the Bodies Exhibit in the city, the Popular Music band concert, Jackie’s dad’s birthday party / house party, Joan’s birthday, Jay’s birthday, Mama Tess’ birthday, and six days of weekend!

I am excited beyond belief.
FINALLY!!

I’ll be there from February 12th to February 28th.
:) :)

Unintended Coincidences (Life is going the right way)

So, once again, I am on the topic of horoscopes.
Mine have been dead center for a few months now. Sometimes there are a few here and there that just don’t apply, but for the most part, they do. I am not crazily obsessed with them; I just check to see if an event throughout the day can relate to the horoscope. For example, “Artistic and creative expression is favored now…” Throughout the day, i’ve just been drawing very beautiful doodles (I don’t usually doodle so well). I could go on and on. I’m not saying my life is planned and run by these things, I just find it fascinating that these can be somewhat accurate.

The countdown is on. In exactly one week, I will be out of the country, in 80 degree weather on a beach, anticipating the fusion of sun and sea. Perhaps I will have a pina colada in my hand. Six days until the big day. I’m so incredibly excited! I haven’t been on vacation in two years. :) I need this so much. So, so much.

On my bus, we pass this tree. This is not a normal tree. It is about 9 feet tall, and it is rather cozy. In the summer its leaves are spikey; a deep green. In Autumn, its spikey leaves turn a lavishing red color. In winter, of course, it is bare. But in Spring–the entire tree flourishes in tiny pink flowers; some dangling, some sturdy. Every day I gaze upon this tree…it is absolutely beautiful.
Spring makes me unbelievably happy.

P.S. I would just like to make a note to all the jellyfish out there: Please let me snorkel. I’m begging you. Please don’t crowd us–don’t harm us. I just want to see what I can’t.

[7] Days & [6] Nights of the [Pacific]

I am utterly excited.
My father was this | | close to taking our spring vacation money and putting it towards his own individual trip to the Philippines. But after my mother’s tears and playing incredibly loud thrash / indie experimental music in my room, he decided to let us go.
So during my spring break I will be in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico at a gorgeous 5-star all-inclusive resort. (For privacy purposes I cannot put the resort name here.)
For many nights I have been scrounging the internet for photos of this resort–photos of Puerto Vallarta and the surrounding areas.

Dad: “You book vacations as if you’ve never been on one.”
Me: “I know, I’m just excited.”

I’m so ready to leave the east coast just for a week…to see the beautiful Pacific ocean accept the setting sun into her arms. I’m excited to see a star ridden sky and candy colored clouds. I’m excited to taste feelings of happiness and eccentricity within authentic Mexican dishes and drink the colors of the coral reefs in extravagant cocktails. I’m so ready to stare deep into the bluest eyes known on earth, so calm, ever in motion.

My camera will not leave my side. Ever. (Except for the pool, I suppose.)
